KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait’s armed forces said Tuesday that Kuwaiti air defenses were actively responding to hostile missiles and drones, according to an official statement relayed by Middle East Eye. “Kuwaiti Air Defences are currently responding to hostile missiles and drone threats,” the army said. The interceptions come as US Central Command’s air campaign against Iran enters its second week and Iranian retaliation continues to spill across the Gulf.

In addition to routine drone and missile fire, an IRGC strike on 17 July damaged a Kuwaiti desalination plant — a rare direct hit on civilian critical infrastructure that Kuwait’s Defence Ministry publicly attributed to Iran.
