Privacy policy.
Last updated: April 27, 2026.
This is the plain-English version of our privacy policy. We're an independent newsroom, not a data company. We collect the minimum needed to run a website and serve ads, and we never sell user data to third parties.
What we collect automatically
When you visit americastrikes.com, the following are collected automatically:
- Anonymous traffic data via Cloudflare Web Analytics — page views, referrer, country, device type. No cookies, no personal identifiers.
- Ad-serving data via Google AdSense — required for ads to display. Includes ad clicks, viewability, basic device info. AdSense uses cookies for EEA/UK/Swiss visitors only after consent (we use Google's certified consent management platform).
- Server logs via Cloudflare — IP address, request timestamp, URL. Retained for 7 days for security and debugging. Not linked to any other data.
What we collect with your consent
- Email address if you subscribe to The Daily Strike newsletter. Used to send you the newsletter. Stored at our newsletter provider (Beehiiv). You can unsubscribe in one click from any email we send.
- Cookies for personalized ads only with explicit consent (EEA/UK/CH visitors) or implicit consent (US/elsewhere) per regional law. You can opt out at any time — click "Manage" on the consent banner or in our footer.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.
- We don't run third-party tracking pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight, etc.).
- We don't fingerprint browsers or track users across other sites.
- We don't use behavioral profiling for editorial decisions — what we publish is independent of who reads it.
Third-party services we use
The following third parties may receive minimal data when you visit:
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and provides analytics. Cloudflare privacy policy
- Google AdSense — serves ads. Google privacy policy
- Beehiiv — newsletter delivery (only if you subscribe). Beehiiv privacy policy
- Amazon — when you click an affiliate link (`/go/
`), Amazon's tracking begins. Amazon privacy notice

Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)
If you're in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or California, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you (in practice, this is your newsletter subscription if you have one)
- Request deletion of that data
- Object to processing
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@americastrikes.com. We respond within 30 days.
Children's privacy
Our site is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us immediately and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the page with a date stamp. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the most recent revision.
