Houthi rebels in Yemen have claimed attacks on Saudi targets, including a naval base and military camp in Aden. According to the Houthi media outlet Middle East Eye, their armed forces targeted ‘Saudi enemy concentrations’ at the Al-Nasr camp and the naval base in Aden, which are overseen by Saudi forces. The attack was reportedly carried out in response to Saudi airstrikes on Houthi-held areas. In a separate incident, the Houthis claimed that a Saudi strike killed five members of the same family in Hodeida Middle East Eye. The victims included two wives and three children, with one daughter wounded in the attack. The Houthis’ Al-Masirah TV channel reported that the strike targeted the home of citizen Abdulwahed al-Wasabi in the Al-Tuhayta district of Hodeida. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has said it shot down two missiles fired by the Houthis Times of Israel. The missiles were reportedly targeting the cities of Taif and Yanbu. The conflict between the Houthis and a Saudi-led coalition has been ongoing for years, with both sides accusing each other of violating international law and human rights. The Houthi claims of attacks on Saudi targets come as tensions in the region remain high. The situation is further complicated by the involvement of external powers, including Iran, which supports the Houthis.
